Dwayne is the owner, and sole mechanic at Carriage Works.
With over 30 years’ experience as a mechanic, there’s no vehicle problem too complicated for Dwayne.
Dwayne founded Carriage Works in 1997. Since then he has continued to oversee the day to day operations of the shop. This attention to detail and level of quality control has helped to keep the standard of work high.
Dwayne and his family work hard to keep Carriage Works running smoothly.
Denise is Dwayne’s wife
-and Christina's mom.
She helps out around the shop with a wide range of tasks. Office work, parts runs, and inventory are some of her tasks.
Denise is known as “mom” around the shop, and is always quick to help with any task. She also makes the coffee –and does a good job!
Christina is the office administrator.
She is the one who answers the phone, and is responsible for the general operations, including ordering parts, creating estimates, and making sure that everything is running smoothly.
Amanda is Dwayne and Denise’s oldest daughter, and Christina's sister.
Amanda -formerly office admin- now lives in England with her husband David, and their almost-two-year-old son Judah, but helps out from abroad with marketing, website management, and blogging. She also lends a hand in the office whenever she is back in Ketchikan.
Yoshi is a valuable member of the Carriage Works team.
Trained well by the late office dog Slim, Yoshi does her job of office dog very well. She sleeps, eats, and tries to steal candy from Christina.
She is shy, but may come out to say hello if she likes you –or if you have yummy treats.
David is Amanda's husband, and is officially part of the Carriage Works crew.
David likes to help out in the shop when he visits Alaska.
Most of the time, however, David can be found in Surrey, England –where he keeps busy with Judah. David also enjoys building and selling bikes for his company Cycle Torque.
